A vile, hell-deserving sinner saved by God's amazing grace

LT photo.jpg

I hold a PhD in biochemistry and for the greater part of the last 10 years I have been involved in researching the immune and neurotoxic effects of vaccines and vaccine ingredients. This work has been published in high impact biomedical and scientific journals including Lancet Infectious Diseases, Annals of Medicine, Immunological Research, BMC Infectious Agents and Cancer, American Journal of Public Health, Journal of Law Medicine and Ethics, Current Pharmaceutical Design, Current Medicinal Chemistry, Expert Opinion on Drug Safety, Journal of Inorganic Biochemistry and Lupus (if interested, see complete list of publications below).

I have always loved science, and before I was saved I believed science was all about the pursuit of truth and benefit of mankind. When the Lord saved me however that belief was quite shattered, as I realized the giant deception that the science establishment has foisted upon mankind – the theory of evolution – the sole purpose of which is to deny the existence of the one true God, the Judge of all men and the Maker of all creation. And hence, it appears that those whom the world of humanity esteems most greatly and trusts blindly are guilty of the greatest of all follies:

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. – Psalm 14:1-3.

“The sinner here described is an atheist, one that saith there is no Judge or Governor of the world, no Providence ruling over the affairs of men...No man will say, There is no God, till he is so hardened in sin, that it is become his interest that there should be none to call him to an account.” – Matthew Henry[1]

“As a matter of fact, the belief that there is no God is commonly founded on the desire to lead a wicked life; or, the opinion that there is no God is embraced by those who in fact lead such a life, with a desire to sustain themselves in their depravity, and to avoid the fear of future retribution.” – Albert Barnes[2]

The Atheist is the fool pre-eminently, and a fool universally. He would not deny God if he were not a fool by nature, and having denied God it is no marvel that he becomes a fool in practice. Sin is always folly, and as it is the height of sin to attack the very existence of the Most High, so is it also the greatest imaginable folly. To say there is no God is to belie the plainest evidence, which is obstinacy; to oppose the common consent of mankind, which is stupidity; to stifle consciousness, which is madness...but as denying the existence of fire does not prevent its burning a man who is in it, so doubting the existence of God will not stop the Judge of all the earth from destroying the rebel who breaks his laws...” – Charles H. Spurgeon[3]

You see then that according to God’s own Word many scientists are actually great and mulishly obstinate fools; and the real reason why in their giant folly they say that there is no God is because like all fallen men they wish to do as they please and be accountable to none but themselves. Further, other than being guilty of the greatest conceivable folly, many scientists are also guilty of intellectual dishonesty and the suppression of truth, because the creation they study so diligently and claim to know so perfectly clearly reveals the Creator Whose existence nonetheless they deny most vehemently:

“Our willingness to accept scientific claims that are against common sense is the key to an understanding of the real struggle between science and the supernatural. We take the side of science in spite of the patent absurdity of some of its constructsin spite of its failure to fulfill many of its extravagant promises of health and life, in spite of the tolerance of the scientific community for unsubstantiated just-so stories, because we have a prior commitment, a commitment to materialism.
It is not that the methods and institutions of science somehow compel us to accept a material explanation of the phenomenal world, but, on the contrary, that we are forced by our a priori adherence to material causes to create an apparatus of investigation and a set of concepts that produce material explanations, no matter how counter-intuitive, no matter how mystifying to the uninitiated. Moreover, that materialism is absolute, for we cannot allow a Divine Foot in the door.” – Professor Richard Lewontin (a geneticist and self-proclaimed Marxist)[4]

O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. – 1 Timothy 6:20-21.

Now, the Bible makes it clear that all men by their fallen nature are hell-deserving creatures (Ephesians 2:1-3); however, some sins are graver than others and the greater the gravity of sin, the greater will be the severity of the eternal punishment (Matthew 23:13-14; Luke 12:47-48). And the particularly grave sin of secular science is that it boasts of having great knowledge and wisdom about the created order and yet denies the self-evident. It has therefore been rightly said that it takes more faith to believe that nothing + time + chance = all creation than to believe that all creation was created by an infinitely wise and omnipotent Creator (Genesis 1; Genesis 2:4-7, 21-22; John 1:1-3; Colossians 1:15-17; Hebrews 1:2; Hebrews 11:3). No sane person would venture to say that a computer or a car was self-assembled by chance, and that the materials for assembly just came to be out of nothing!! And yet a single bacterial (let alone human) cell is incomparably more complex than anything human hands have ever made, and yet man most absurdly and arrogantly goes on to say, "it just happened!" That to me is truly plain folly!! And so I do firmly believe that secular science is guilty of intellectual dishonesty, and also, of refusing to look at scientific evidence for creation without prejudice and objectively, and that precisely because it is obstinately committed to keep the “Divine Foot” out of its territory! In consequence, secular science is very much guilty of what the Bible refers to as suppressing the truth in unrighteousness, which is another good reason why we will be wise to avoid its foolish creeds on species’ origins!

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. – Romans 1:18-23.

Charles Spurgeon was therefore most correct in noting that denying the existence of the Judge of all the earth (Genesis 18:25; 2 Timothy 4:1) will save none whose sins are not remitted by Christ’s blood from their just wages – i.e., death.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. – Romans 6:23.

The bad news is that we all sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12), and since without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin (Hebrews 9:22), Christ had to suffer the just wages of our transgressions and bear the wrath of God in our place so that by believing in the work of His redemption we would be admitted into God’s everlasting Kingdom.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. – John 3:16-19.

If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. – 1 John 5:10-12.

In the grand scheme of things then, scientific accomplishments are not as important as they are esteemed to be. Indeed, for what is clearly implied by the Word of God is that there will be many accomplished scientists and Nobel prize winners who will be cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:15) on Judgment Day because at the end of it all, neither the most prestigious human accolades nor the greatest intellectual feats nor all pretended morality and good works will count in the Court of Heaven but one thing only – whether Christ is your Saviour, because there is no other escape from the wrath of God the Father, nor any alternative way of salvation for fallen man apart from Him (Mark 16:15-16; John 3:16, 36; John 5:24; John 6:40, 44-45, 47-51; John 8:24, 34-36; John 10:9; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10; 1 John 5:11-12).

For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. – 1 Corinthians 1:19-31.

Now, there was a time when I gloried in many vain things and walked in a way that seemed right in my own eyes but the end thereof is death (Proverbs 14:12; Proverbs 16:25). I was also a great fool and very much of a Darwin's bulldog, and regarded people as uneducated retards who didn't think evolution was “settled science.” And although I was a nominal Catholic, and hence never said that there was no God, yet I acted as if that was actually the case. And I thank God that He had mercy on my wretched soul, and had delivered me from the power of darkness, and translated me into the kingdom of His dear Son (Colossians 1:12-13; 1 Peter 2:9-10), for had not His grace intervened sovereignly I would have continued in my hell-bent ways uninterruptedly, and thus at last perished assuredly.

And so dear reader, if you don’t know Christ the Lord as your Saviour, this is what the Word of God has to say to you:

Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? And your labour for that which satisfieth not? (Isaiah 55:2). For what does it profit for a man if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (Matthew 16:26). Therefore, seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near (Isaiah 55:6), and plead with Him to have mercy upon your soul (Luke 18:13), and believe the Gospel – that Christ by His blood paid the redemption price so that sinners like you and I through faith in Him may have everlasting life.
